Completing the Singapore Skyline, the Marina Bay Sands stands strong along the Marina Bay area in Singapore. Fully opened last February 2011, the Marina Bay Sands, with 3 towers and a Sky Park on top, guests are spoilt for endless activities, shopping and entertainment. The Sky Park is a popular tourist destination to get a 360 degree view of the city and where one can just chill out by the infinity pool and watch the sunset (or rise) or have a drink in one of the most happening sky bars in Singapore, Ku De Ta. Take note that the Sky Park’s opening is also dependent on the weather – safety always comes first.
Right opposite the 3 towers, and still part of the integrated resort, is a 74,000 square metres shopping complex, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. The Shoppes is a multi-level shopping haven that features the most popular and exciting designers and brands from all over the world, attracting all shopaholics to this mighty shopping centre. Some of the brands that can be found here include YSL, Manchester United, Hermes, Ralph Lauren and more. The flagship Island Maison of Louis Vuitton is also located in one of the Crystal Pavilions facing the bay. It also has the ArtScience Museum where art and scientific exhibits are displayed for young and adult enthusiasts. Inside The Shoppes are also two large theaters that features world-class performances of all genre. Recent shows include multi awarded musicals The Lion King, Wicked, A Chorus Line and an ice-skating extravaganza, The Swan Lake.
From day to night, there are really lots of things to do here. Wonder Full, South East Asia’s Largest Light and Water Show, can be watched on the bay front for free every night. Be amazed with the different visual effects, lasers andwater projections, accompanied by great music recorded by a 140-piece orchestra.
For party goers, the hottest night clubs can be found in the 2nd Crystal Pavilion in Marina Bay. Pangaea and Avalon offers tourists great party music in a lively atmosphere. Once in a while, world-famous DJs also come to Avalon to spin and make party goers dance all night long.
